This year's OSCARS event was a huge success. For the first time it was held at a hotel instead of the school's auditorium. The theme was candy land and the decorations were very colourful and playful. We adjusted the food to the theme and served merely desserts which included a chocolate fountain, crepes & waffles and free candy spread out over the tables. The room in general was decorated very nicely and the atmosphere with the lights and music was very fun. All students and teachers complimented the event and enjoyed themselves throughout. I learned during this event about time management and planning since I ended up organising the trophies, the mugs, all prizes, the Dj, and paying the photographer. This was very stressful and took a lot of my time and energy but it was definitely worth it since the event was such a success and all our hard work went towards that. I feel more comfortable taking on responsibilities as a leader now and will continue to do so and improve those skills in the future.
